#8 just a little correction. this picture is not of an aurora or the the earth, but rather solar flares on the sun take by nasa with a special filter. if it was the earth, you would be able to discern the continents, even on the night side. the earth also does not glow as the sun is doing in this picture.

#5 Danny, the photo obviously has been processed, not to show something that doesn't exist but to highlight the aurora activity. As such, it is not a man-made creation, and it should be observed considering these facts.

#4 Actually if this were a star it could very well glow like that.

#3 I'm 90% sure that is a photoshop creation.

Possibly not though. But I just doubt the world lights up like that...

#1 Beautiful Picture, RBA... Here we can see how the sky can get even more beautiful and gorgeus than we used to know.

Thanks for sharing this Picture with us.

With kindness, hilda.

#2 I could only guess, but please save me the embarrassment of guessing it wrong. All I can say is that Venus is likely the brightest object (you probably knew that), Saturn shouldn't be too far away from Venus and Mars would likely be somewhere up north (it should also be somewhat reddish, though I could not spot anything like that). Again, these are just guesses.
