Vanishing Aurora and planets
http://www.alaskaphotos.biz/6541.htm

While not the most intense display of northern lights, this one was unique in that it marked the end of the aurora viewing season in Alaska, when the nights are no longer dark enough to see the aurora due to the lengthening days. It's also unique in that five planets are visible: Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus

Care to tell us which "dots" are the planets? :-)

I could only guess, but please save me the embarrassment of guessing it wrong. All I can say is that Venus is likely the brightest object (you probably knew that), Saturn shouldn't be too far away from Venus and Mars would likely be somewhere up north (it should also be somewhat reddish, though I could not spot anything like that). Again, these are just guesses.
